Used Clothing Alchemy Retreat

Transform a garment from your wardrobe in need of a change, reimagine favorite pieces of clothing that are outdated, ill-fitting, or otherwise less than optimal. In this super creative fashion re-design intensive, students will learn to deconstruct everyday clothing items like pants, shirts, and jackets and reconstruct them by repairing, reshaping, collaging, and/or reimagining their aesthetics. Hand stitching and machine stitching techniques will be explored with plenty of time for practice. All levels welcome.
Appliqué & Embellishment Camp
August 17-22, 2025
Bring your own base for embellishment – could be a wool blanket, jacket, coat, sweater, or even pants, or a skirt. Mend, embroider, appliqué, embellish with various techniques including visible mending, decorative embroidery, hand stitched appliqué, beading, patching and more. There is no supply fee; a $50 kit fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. All levels welcome.
